UNIMI
Monica Bolelli recently got her PhD from the IMPRS School, the graduate school of the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Society and the Universities of Duisburg-Essen and Köln.
Before moving to Università Statale, she worked as researcher and research group coordinator at the German Institute for Interdisciplinary Social Policy Research (DIFIS).
During her PhD her research focused on the role of illegality in regulated economies and its transformative effects on their labour markets. More broadly, she is interested in comparative employment and industrial relations studies, labour mobility and migration, and the intersection between labour regulations and social policy.
