He is Senior Researcher at the University of Amsterdam in the multi-disciplinary research department AIAS-HSI in the Law Faculty. He is a social and social-legal scientist and has been involved in many cross-country research projects and publications in the fields of social dialogue, collective bargaining, labour market policies, and workers’ participation in Europe.
He initiated and participated in several EU projects funded by DG Employment, Social Affairs, and Inclusion. He was project manager in InterGenerational BARgaining (InGenBAR) and COmparatives in DEcentralised BARgaining (CODEBAR) and participated in among others, BAWEU, SOWELL, NEWIN, YOUnion.
He has advanced skills in qualitative research methods, such as in-depth interviewing and content analysis of legislative texts, collective agreements, (European) policy documents, and company documents, and he is highly experienced in scientific and academic-professional writing (incl. policy reports and peer-reviewed journal articles).
