The Federation of European Social Employers (FESE – the Social Employers) represents employers in social services at the European level. It is the most representative European employer’s organization for the private sector part of social services. Its 30 members in 19 countries are active in the care and support services for older persons, persons with disabilities, children, and other excluded or disadvantaged persons.
FESE contributes to quality service provision and quality jobs by strengthening the position of social services employers at the EU and national level, establishing common positions between members, engaging in European social dialogue, and negotiating with European Trade Union Associations.
FESE has expertise in managing and participating in EU-funded social dialogue projects. Most recently, the FORESEE project was concluded (VS/2021/0054), a two-year project focusing on the attractiveness of social services and the fundamental role of social dialogue and collective bargaining in improving working conditions.
