Comparative report WP4

Drawing upon the six WP4 national reports, this report provides a comparative overview of workers’ positioning and perceptions on job quality and collective representation in the care sector across different employment relations regimes, highlighting common trends and differences. The first section analyses workers’ understanding of “job quality”, highlighting caregivers’ struggles and priorities in the workplace. The second section reviews caregivers’ proposed solutions to enhance working conditions in the two sub-sectors. Finally, the third section investigates how workers relate to collective representation and their propensity to organize.
